The Solar Lineage Techniques
In many ancient cultures all over the world, the concept of sun worship is nearly as old as mankind. Man depends on the energy of the sun for life and sustenance. It is no surprise that many cultures have deified the sun. The Egyptian peoples honored Ra, the sun god. The Greeks honored Helios, who was worshipped as giving light and life to all. In Native American cultures, such as the Iriquois and Plains peoples recognized the sun as a life-giving force and held a Sun Dance each year, which was seen as a renewal of the bond man has with life, earth, and the growing season. As a part of the cult of Mithra, early Persian societies integrated the rising of the sun each day with hidden spiritual mysteries. Honoring the sun was an integral part of the ritual and ceremony of the Mithraic tradition. One of the highest ranks one could achieve in a Mithraic temple was that of heliodromus, or sun carrier. The sun has been an integral aspect of the spiritual life of mankind for thousands of years. However, during modern times, the importance of the sun for true spiritual growth and enlightenment has been suppressed and hidden from the masses. History records that with all new solar epochs, mystic Holy Orders employed such techniques, invoking God to shine the divine aspect or positive Light of the Sun over the world. By their techniques they labored to sustain the higher Light streaming into the sun from a spiritual, non-material source or dimension. The techniques led them through a process of rebirth and a regeneration of spirit and soul by which they could reclaim their divine heritage, which was spiritual immortality. Such was the charge of the Messianic Church under Jesus and the ancient Essene Order in Palestine from which he emerged. The modern-day mystics of the International Community of Christ and the Jamilian University of the Ordained have reclaimed these ancient techniques, amended them, and supplemented the practices for our age. The practices have been formulated into a system, which they call Cosolargy. Although the System of Cosolargy has its roots in the past, it is primarily geared to the future. Through the techniques of Cosolargy, a new religious science is made available to help the human species adapt to and survive new and increased levels of cosmic/solar radiation which are producing new life conditions on earth. In the broadest sense, Cosolargy represents the ideal ecological system, designed for the needs of present and future generations of men and women. To date, Dr. Mitchell Gibson has only scratched the surface of this profound and transformative teaching. The time for change has come. In this symposium, The Right Reverend Gene Savoy Jr, and The Right Reverend Sean Savoy, both sons of the founder of the International Community of Christ, the late Most Right Reverend Gene Savoy, Sr. will present never before seen information on the science of Cosolargy. ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
The International Community of Christ also teaches that Jesus prophesied the future coming of Christ as the Sun of Righteousness. According to the church, the cosmic phenomenon of the messianic sun began in 1962 as revealed by Jamil (1959 - 1962), a child prodigy who lived in the Andes of Peru. This occurrence ushers in a new epoch in which God’s presence manifests for an eventual transformation of all things physical into light - the original state before matter came into existence. It is this tenet of the new advent, or appearance, of God’s presence and the non-denominational character of Cosolargy that allows the Church of the Second Advent to claim its teaching to be truly ecumenical and universal, for it is not restricted to Christianity alone. In the Reno area, the church maintains chapels for communion, marriage, baptism, and other familiar rites. At its 1200 acre desert sanctuary north of Reno there are numerous open-air churches for the practice of its outdoor liturgy. The church also runs a geothermal healing center at historic Steamboat Hot Springs south of Reno. The church’s main office and administrative center for its teaching arm, the Jamilian University of the Ordained, has been located in downtown Reno since 1972 and at its current location on Ralston Street since 1980. In addition to the church’s teaching ministry, it provides pastoral services to its members and the general public and is active in the ecumenical and interfaith community through its leadership in the Nevada Clergy Association and the Advocates for Religious Rights and Freedoms. Although the church has a global membership, its world center is in Reno. A branch of the church and school was established in Japan in 2008. Worldwide membership ranges from nearly 2,000 students to more than 100 ordained ministers with varying vows and duties, half of whom reside in the Reno area. The overseeing official and president of the global church community is a head bishop. Following the death of Gene Savoy, Sr., in 2007, the leadership of the church passed to his eldest son, Gene Savoy, Jr.
The Right Reverend Gene Savoy, Jr
THE RIGHT REVEREND GENE SAVOY, JR. is the Head Overseer-Bishop of the International Community of Christ, Church of the Second Advent (www.communityofchrist.org). He is Pastor of the Chapel of the Holy Child, Rector of the Cathedral Church of the Americas, and President of the Church’s educational institution, the Jamilian University of the Ordained (www.jamilian.org), of which he graduated from with studies in Theology, Divinity, Ecclesiastical Administration and Canon Law. He was ordained into the ministry of the Second Advent Church in 1994, and received episcopal consecration on March 17, 2007. At age 13, Savoy accompanied his father, the famous explorer, on the younger’s first expedition into the jungles of Peru in search of lost cities. Following that experience, he returned there four times on behalf of the Andean Explorers Foundation (www.aefosc.org). He is a recipient of The Explorers Medal. An avid reader and student of history and theology, Gene has traveled extensively not only visiting Peru, but Mexico and Canada, the Hawaiian Islands, England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Japan, the West Indies, and much of the United States. His hobbies include cooking, photography and golf. Bishop Savoy is president of the Nevada Clergy Association, the Advocates for Religious Rights and Freedoms, and Steamboat Springs Water Works, Inc., a small public utility owned and operated by the Church. In January 2009, Gene was appointed a spiritual advisor for the National Association of InterChurch & Interfaith Families (NAIIF). He has been an associate member of NAIIF since the summer of 2008. Also in January 2009, he was appointed to serve on the Northern Nevada Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission. He was chosen in December 2009 to serve as its chairman. Bishop Gene is past president of the Red Rock Estates Property Owners Association, as well as a former member of the board of directors of Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity and continues to serve on the advisory committee. Other memberships include Reno’s prestigious Prospector’s Club, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Rutherford Institute, the Truckee Meadows Conscious Community and Business Network, and the Interfaith Alliance. In past years, he was instructor of American Government and Religious Studies at the Jamilian Parochial School and served on the school board. Gene is the recipient of Certificates of Recognition and Commendation from U.S. Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign, Congressman Dean Heller, and Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons. December 11, 2007, was proclaimed “Bishop Gene Savoy, Jr. Day” by the Mayor of the City of Reno, Robert Cashell, Sr. He is the author of Solar Teachings of Ancient Greece and proud father of four daughters: Sonya Jeanette, Sabrina Josephine, Sophia Jamila, and Madelynne Tallulah (deceased).
Mitchell Earl Gibson MD
Dr. Mitchell Gibson is one of the world’s leading authorities on the interface of science, the human soul, and the frontiers of human consciousness. He is a board-certified forensic psychiatrist, author and spiritual teacher. He has delivered addresses to many of the world’s largest conferences related to science and consciousness. These include, The International Science and Consciousness Conference, The Sivananda Ashram Annual Symposium, International Institute of Integral Human Sciences, The SSGRR-IT Conference on Advances in Electronic Medicine in Italy, The Southeast Regional Unity Ministers Conference, The Northwest Astrological Association, The American Federation of Astrologers and many others. Dr. Gibson was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina on August 24, 1959. He was born to William James and Mary Magdalene Gibson. One of five children, Gibson’s parent’s separated when he was 6 years old and he grew up in Ellerbe North Carolina; a small farming community near Pinehurst. Gibson excelled in academics and received a full scholarship to Florida A&M University. He majored in Premedical Science and graduated at the top of his class, magna cum laude. Dr. Gibson received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then completed his residency training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. During his last year of residency he served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry and received the Albert Einstein Foundation Research Award for his work in Sleep Disorders. Dr. Gibson then moved to Phoenix Arizona where he became Chief of Staff at the East Valley Camelback Hospital in Mesa Arizona. Dr. Gibson has been listed among the Top Doctors in Arizona in the Phoenix magazine on several occasions. He has also twice been named to the Woodward and White listing of the "Best Doctors in America". In 2003, 2004, and 2005 he was honored with listings in the Consumer Research Council of America’s compilation of the Top Psychiatrists in America. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American College of Forensic Medicine, and the American Board of Forensic Examiners. During his residency, Dr. Gibson began having a series of extraordinary experiences that awakened him to the realities of the spiritual world. He visited Sri Matajhi Indira Devi in Pune India in August 1994 in an attempt to get answers that would help him understand these experiences. “Ma”, as she liked to be called, initiated Gibson into the mysteries of the Holy Mother and the Goddess Lakshmi. These experiences profoundly influenced his practice of medicine and psychiatry. Dr. Mitchell Gibson has the rare distinction of being the only physician to win the highest award ever granted by the American Federation of Astrologers, the prestigious B.F. Sims Pounds Jr. Award. Dr. Gibson was granted this award twice for his work in astrology, clairvoyance, and spiritual research. Dr. Gibson uses his clairvoyant and spiritual gifts to work with a select group of clients.
