The Jade Emperor shield is designed to help the aspirant absorb sunlight and energy from the consciousness of the universe itself. The design of the shield is taken from the design of the emblem of the Jade Emperor himself. The Jade Emperor is the controller of consciousness and prosperity in many different forms. Prosperity in consciousness, prosperity in battle, prosperity in magical ability, and prosperity in evolutionary growth are controlled in part by the energy of the shield. 

The aspirant will hold the shield with the right hand over the heart and the shield will absorb energy from the sun and the stars that are available in their location.
